I have a new Fiamma Zip awning bought in June this year but it came with no tie down straps that attach to the top of the side walks. The male is sewn to the panels but the straps themselves plus pegs are missing. Are these available as a separate item and if so can you obtain them?

My Thetford Cassette Toilet C200CWE has just stop working. i can hear the click when i press the button on the toilet but it just stop flushing. i have open the cassette toilet door checked the fuse which is good, well tried to check the wiring. i cant seems to see the problem but it will not flush. Hi, i Have a Thetford 200CWE In My Elddis Crusader 2008, 1st Changed The Switch Just 6 Months Ago Due To It Not Working At All. That Sorted a Few Weeks Ago The Flush Was Intermittent And Slow/Reduced Water Flow, The Old Pump Was Removed And a New Pump Fitted But When The Switch Is Activated There Is Nothing Only The Click Of The Switch. The Pump Does Not Run. There Is Current To The Wiring To The Pump And To The Switch, The Fuse Is Good, And The Battery Shows That It Is Ok And Charging Well. The Pump Has Been Tested On a 12v Battery And It Whizzed Round, Could You Throw Any Light On This Pls. It Seams To Make No Sense As All Was Ok All But Sluggish Then As Soon As The Wiring Was Cut To Attach New Pump It Wont Work. Is There Something i'm Missing ?? Help ....... :-)
This is just a query really. I have a 2016 Lunar Delta TS with the Alde 3020 heating system where the 12v header tank circulating pump is fitted in the wardrobe next to the head of one of the beds. Not only does it whine like a banshee it is making a clicking noise which is most annoying when you are trying to sleep, I think it probably needs to be replaced. However, can you tell me if the 230v circulating pump will fit in my system, is it difficult to install but importantly is it quieter in operation than the 12v pump fitted at present. Which by the way, in their handbook they call an emergency pump. I look forward to your reply.
I have a Dometic RM7271 fridge. It starts well on gas but goes out later on and often fails to reignite. Its probably a basic question, but is the fridge supposed to go out when it has reached the desired temperature and fire up later on? Or should the flame be constant, and only regulated by the facia knob 1 - 8 If it is constant how does it defrost ? It never ices up as previous fridges used to.
This Remis Spring Mechanism designed to fit a 20 mm roller tube. I need a spring mechanism to fit a 10 mm roller tube. The roller in question is out of a Hobby caravan, and is a smaller kitchen window. The dimensions of the roller are 10 mm x 745 mm and has net at the top and a concertina section coming up from the bottom, joined together by a connecting clip. hi, i have a thetford 200CWE in my Abbey540 expression 2008, 1st changed the switch just 3 days ago due to it not working at all. that sorted a few mins later the flush stopped!! the old pump was removed and a new pump fitted but when the switch is activated there is nothing only the click of the switch. the pump does not run. there is no current to the wiring to the pump and to the switch, the fuse is good, and the battery shows that it is ok and charging well. the pump has been tested on a 12v battery and it whizzed round, could you throw any light on this pls. It seems to make no sense as all, was ok. then as soon as the wiring was cut to attach new pump it wont work. So I have new switch new pump all installed ans shrunk wrapped but still no current to switch or pump all fuses are good but no current to the switch the 12 volt cable seems to exit the unit and go behind the rear toilet wall so no help there, the book diagram states purple wire the colour into the pump is brown & blue in a black rubber casing have had van since ne and all has worked ok till I had service done and a new batt charger fitted and new water heater element, could the person fitting these have dislodge moved anything. just seems strange all new parts but no current HELP PLEASE! could take it back to service centre but it a bit far so thought I would try you first! I have an Electrolux RM2200 fridge. It is working fine on 240 volt but I can't get it to work on gas. The igniter is working fine and the gas makes a popping sound when I try and ignite but the burner will not stay lit. Thetford cassette toilet,, not sure of model but think it's a C2. under the toilet roll holder there is a small pump, and a 30 amp relay switch, these look like they do not submerge. To the pump there is a pipe from the onboard cold water tank. From the pump the pipe goes to a small one way valve, this I think goes in to the flush talk that holds the blue chemical flush.. My question is about this valve. Where does it sit in the tank ? The pump had a holding slot, the relay switch crews down, the flush pipe fits to the toilet bowl but I can not see a place or feel a place to fix this small valve back to even though it has a clip on one side and a shaped groove on the other, help please.
Hi I have recently purchased an elddis typhoon caravan 1985? it has thetford toilet in it with flush to the right and blade opener to the left as you look at the toilet the blade opener has stopped working and "cracks" when turning the round handle it looks like a c2 toilet ? but your diagram shows the blade tuner as a flush, mine are separate? any ideas thanks Jon
On my car I have a 13 pin female plug with adaptor to 7 pin for towing, lights etc. I have an old 94 Compass Rallye GTE 400 which requires both normal, and the grey lead for caravan amenities fridge etc. Can you supply a branch lead to connect from 13 pin female on car to caravan?
Hi Tom, We have a N112 fridge from 2007. Had fault code 12 showing, switched off everything, now have code 18, which according to the manual is "no fault" but LCD is random flashing, back light is on rythmic flash, clicking in the back. Have read some other posts and a 5 amp fuse was mentioned. I was wondering where it is located, as I have checked all in "fuse box" Also, is this a "simple " fix or is it time for a new fridge? We have a problem with our cassette toilet. The blade is very stiff to open and close and also the holding unit is leaking into the cavity (as if the seal is not correct?). The model on the toilet itself is C250CWE but the number on the holding tank is C250N11 X066C01. I have recently bought an Abbey Freestyle 470. Having filled the truma water heater tank and followed the instructions, ensuring everything relevant is opened and closed. When attempting to draw hot water, nothing comes through the taps, but water pours the overflow. When drawing cold water (with tank full). Water comes out tap but also comes out overflow. Any ideas? It was replaced a year ago due to storm damage size poss 900x600 the hexagonal shaft from the handle to the gearbox has snapped so I need a replacement. Hi, My truma gas regulator is gushing gas out of a yellow nipple on the side. I am worried about replacing it with a truma again as it's a common fault. Many people in the Facebook crazy caravan club have had similar faults.
I have a compass caravan fitted with a truma crystal filter and a submersible pump. When the taps are on the LED lights up on the ZIG unit to say pump running. the pump sometimes will run for about 20 seconds then stops, then will run no more. I have checked that there is 12volts at the pump connection (back of crystal filter unit) when taps are on. The pump works when connected to an independent supply. As soon as the pump is plugged in the 12 volts disappear. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Thank you.

hi tom, I have a 1997 sterling europa caravan fitted with a carver 2 water heater the system intermittently activates the pump when the system is not in use, and the water leaks from around the vent on the outside of the van is this due to a failure of a part and can i replace this.

Re your article on Hartal door locks. This is my feedback. Dismantled the lock, the lock spindle needed to be pressed out rather than fall out. I found that there were still some lands of sprue from the molding on the barrel- removed them with some emery paper, also measured the diameter of the spindle - found that it had a slight taper which as it was pushed in and locked with the circlip made it very hard to move. Filed the hole and it now turns easily. Looks like a manufacturing problem. Seems very widespread as well.
On my Thetford N150 Fridge freezer The blue light is flashing and its showing a spanner and code 1 error .I have read through all the bits and pieces that you have written and taken the lid off the power board and changed the 5amp fuse which was not blown and the 20amp which was also not blown but the blue light still flashes on the mains only. I have a Truma S3002p. It goes out, but at no particular time or pattern. have sat and closely watched the blue flame stop, if i press the piezo quick enough it relights as the thermocouple is holding the valve open. i am Gas safe LPG etc and have thrown new parts at it, valve, thermocouple, burner, 30mb jets, electrode, the flue and cowl are spotless. The alloy casting was washed out with gallons of water, no sign of a blockage, gas pipe purged (aggressively) and of course a full bottle, It is a second-hand swift 2008 sportstyle 2. only had it 3 weeks but seems so very much more. please HELP !

1. I think we have a problem with our Gas Regulator part number TRuma 0129411. I see from other queries a problem with residues blocking the regulator is a regular problem. We have tried two different gas bottles we know have gas in, and no gas is getting through to appliances, hence we think the regulator. Does this seem correct.
2. Buying a new one - we cannot find this part number on the TRuma web-site or yours.
Are the new replacements all with an elbow? 3. Should one fit a filter as well?

Hi I have a shurflo 7l/min pump in my 2003 Vanmaster - problem is when the taps are opened there's a dribble which runs out then the pump starts and runs fine. If I switch the power to the pump off and on again it seems to start immediately - could it be a problem with the pressure switch on the pump do you think?
Problem with dometic fridge freezer 7655l. When on gas the fridge stops working drops out and then fails to re ignite sometimes. When it is working you can turn down the thermostat and the gas drops out, turn it back up and it kicks back in but again fails to re ignite sometimes. Cleaned jet and flue still same. Help please.
my truma fire ignites 1st time; without problem, but does not appear to heat up when I turn dial up to say 8; I can see the pilot is lit; is there any way to see if other burners are lit that is assuming it has a bank of burners say on max heat; there is no window I can check what is alight except the pilot, or have I missed something?
I have a 2012 Elddis Avante 574. The water heater (Truma) sometimes will not work on Electric. After checking the consumer unit and then checking the 5 amp fuse on the consumer unit it then works. Do you think its the 12 volt supply that is at fault
Hello Tom, I have a van with a Truma c6002eh heater, it has been playing up for a week or so before finally stopping altogether, can you tell me this, although the air circulation fan turns as soon as switched on, I have taken the combustion fan out to check that, despite a 12 volt supply reaching it, when the boiler is switched on it does not turn at all could this be the reason the boiler does not attempt to run, many thanks.
I have a problem with the electrics on my Swift Conqueror and if possible am seeking your comments please. There seems to be two related issues, one with the NE183-T56 in conjunction with a Thetford N112 fridge.
NE183-T56 with NE189 R1
With no vehicle connected all functions are OK. Panel show voltage 13.8 for van, zero for car which is correct.
If car is selected on the NE183 this causes the ALKO ATC to engage although no car is connected. Therefore, in some way the NE189 must be feeding current into the car-live circuits. Also panel then shows voltage for two batteries, van 13.6, car 13.9 although only the van battery is present!
After several minutes both panel lights (green & red) flash in unison.
Pressing van button causes a return a normal display.
Normally when the vehicle is connected and running the NE183 switches off. Connecting the vehicle now makes no difference.
The two relays in the NE189 appear to be solder-fit so presumably if faulty the panel has to be replaced.

Other than via earth, is there any interaction with the NE183?
Obviously there is a connection with the NE189 because of the fuse elements. Can a relay fault back-feed into the fridge circuit?
The fridge has a completely blank display (no current) and has no response to the on/off switch regardless whether the NE183 is on or off.
There is constant ticking which sounds like the igniter.
Although not turned on the ticking causes the LED awning light to flash in unison. Turning on the light causes the flashing to stop (light becomes constant) although ticking continues. This really foxes me because with the switch turned off the only cable to the light is the earth!
The low-voltage connector to the fridge show 13,7-volts but even with no car connected the heavy duty 12-volt circuit shows 0.4-volts.
Any comments or advice you can offer would be very much appreciated.
Hi I have a Truma Ultraheat which works on pilot flame but when burner tries to light the flame appears to "lift off" and pops etc. All the time I keep the knob depressed it will continue to try to light. I have tried replacing the gas bottle regulator with one off a van I know works but this did not cure the problem. Any ideas ? JK
Tech Tom, not a question but strong advice to fellow readers... having read Tom Marriotts entry dated 28 Oct 13 re exhaust fumes from fridge. I had a similar problem earlier this year with my fridge exhaust getting back into my caravan...thankfully I had fitted a CO alarm in my van before we went on holiday, it went off at 0130hrs in the morning and saved our lives. Please recommend to all readers to have one fitted. Thank you
hi ya, I have fitted a smev 8003 hob to my camper, I'm trying to find out what connector I need to fit a rubber pipe to the hob. Under the hob is a male threaded tap, could you tell me what I need and if you have one available. Recently, after driving our 2003 Compass Avantgarde 400RL the voltage from the leisure battery was low to non-existent - the pump runs slow and the boiler won't stay on. The first time we were aware of this we struggled with dim lights for the evening but in the morning all was ok again. I presume this means that the battery is not at fault. However the next time we drove somewhere the same thing happened. Any ideas?

Wondered if anyone can help....our c2 thetford manual loo has been great, but this weekend I thought, drain time to avoid frost damage etc..Took the loo to empty it and had a stream of blue loo etc coming out of a hole in the tank body just next to the manual blade handle .I've brought it home to have a look and nothing has come adrift, just a rubber seal at bottom of hole but its straight through, like missing something or been punched through..If the loo is emptied when less than half full its no problems but wondered if i need a new cassette or can I buy a seal.....Cheers peeps.
Hi I have a Elddis Vogue Shamal about 1999 model I believe. I have a mains power source to hand. I've just noticed if I turn off the mains power, and leave the switch to caravan battery I have no power. The battery is almost new and checked is holding a charge over 12 v. When I turn the mains on it doesn't register any increase, ie isn't charging. I have internal caravan lights only on mains. I have no fridge (12v), no TV ariel. The fuse at the battery end is good. We don't seem to have a 12v fuse box, it all seems to go into the breaker unit. There are no obvious loose connections, and the state of the wiring seems ok. I don't seem to be getting any 12 v power to the switches ie the caravan/car battery switch. I can only think that something has gone in the Zig charger, but we still get mains power through it. Any suggestions please.

I have a Lunar Lexon 585Si 2008 'Van to which I have tried to connect a newly bought Truma damper/pressure switch. How do I connect the electrical supply? The Lunar pressure switch has only two connections (three wires) the Truma has four connections, I am confused and the Truma installation guide is no help. Can you help me please? Many thanks, H.J.R.
This is an answer to the Bailey Arizona Battery Charger problem.
The Battery Charger does not have a fan fitted, it must be replaced ASAP before it catches on Fire. Several people have reported this Fault.

I have a c200 toilet in a 2005 Hymer b584. I suddenly notice the toilet flushed or a least the water in the bowl ran whenever another tap in the bathroom or kitchen was turned on. I noticed when you press the flush bottom the toilet does not flush as strongly as normal. I also notice when I turn on a tap in the kitchen or bathroom there is a delay in the water flow.

cannot find how to switch on internal spotlights under pelmets. They have toggle on/off switches on them but are still not coming on, where is the main switch for these internal spot lights please?

my Cascade has got TWO switches one for Gas/Battery and the other for 230V.

The Whale Aquasmart 0815 fitted in our caravan cycles for a few seconds every couple of minutes when water is not being drawn. Is this normal or does the filter or some other part need changing? It can be a bit annoying at night so we have to switch the pump off!

I have a horse box fitted with Whale Elegance taps with the following problem.
Turn on cold tap at sink or shower water flows freely. Turn on hot water tap in shower water flows very slowly, however pump is working.
Turn on hot water tap at sink, no flow and pump not operating. Could this be that the tap is faulty and I have air in the system as a result.

Hi, I have a Thetford C2 cassette toilet in my '96 Rockwood Premier pupup camper. The toilet hasn't flushed since before I bought it, and the previous guy used the shower water to put fluid in the bowl in order to flush. Today I folded the drain and fill spout out, disconnected the sight glass and drained almost a whole mop bucket worth of the foulest smelling blue liquid from the camper. I removed the toilet paper holder and pulled out the pump. Is the pump and electrical wiring supposed to be submerged in the blue liquid under the paper towel holder? Also, looking for the 3 amp fuse, I looked at the diagram online as well as the one in the manual (same diagram), and the fuse isn't there, but on the side of the switching mechanism i can see two little slots that look like a blade fuse would go there. When I try to put a 3 amp blade fuse in those two little slots, it just won't go in. Now, what I have is the bigger blade fuses that are used in the circuit panel in the camper, is that the correct fuse for the C2, or is it the smaller micro fuse that goes there? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have compass Rally, 1991, 510/5. The Manual states it ha an Ex Works weight of 980 Kgs and a payload margin of 220 kgs. I bought a jockey wheel second hand after my old ones tyre broke and on second use broke it, so need a new one (the van was empty at the time) What Jockey wheel should I be buying from your site? Is a medium duty enough or do I need a heavy duty one? Also what would you suggest ...... solid tyre or inflated? Thanks
I have a Remis wind up rooflight on our 2009 AutoTrail. The rooflight will no longer open more than a few inches, the mechanism just seems to jam. What do I need to rectify this?

Hi Tom, In our static we have a Spinflo OH96000 (Enigma 600) oven and the whole 'goalpost' rubber seal on the oven door has come off, thus the oven doesn't function well. On looking on the spare parts list I'm not sure which part we would need - could you help please.

The freezer compartment door on the Electrolux Fridge will not close properly it just flops open. I think it needs replacement hinges? I am not sure of the model no. as the Elddis manual says RM4233 but the Electrolux manual says RM4270 or RM4271. I suspect that the hinges are the same for all three models. Can you advise please? PS: there is no label on the fridge itself.
I have a 2004 Sterling Europa 3.60. The fridge fitted a Thetford C11 model no. NBOEL R, does not operate on gas. There is a clicking sound when I press the ignition button.
My Thetford C2 wont flush the pump can be heard running but no water is passed to the bowl. Any ideas, could it be the sanitary fluid has solidified and blocked the pump supply tube. regards Tom bartram
Hi Tom I have recently purchased a campervan. The van is fitted with a Shurflo trail 7 pump. When I try to fill and pressurise the system the pump constantly makes a clicking noise and water splurts everywhere even after the system has been pressurised do you think it is the pump any help would be appreciated thanks. I have recently bought a 1996 Buccaneer caravan fitted with a carver fanmaster heater. On the electric setting the heater only blows cold air. I've left it to run for some time on the slow setting as I understand it needs a while to heat up first however, this didn't make any difference. I haven't tried to use the heater with gas as firstly, I'd prefer to use electricity and secondly, I don't have (or want) a leisure battery and I think one would be required for the ignition. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? I'd be very grateful for any information you can provide. Thanks.
I have just purchased replacement rollers for my Reich Move Control Comfort and I need installation details. I have seen a previous installation procedure on your web dated 15 Jun 2011 but it does not seem to apply to my model due different bolts (2 U bolts on mine and also a balancing bar between the motors which is not mentioned. I have disconnected the wiring from under our adria 1993 caravan, the wire that plugs it to the car. We got new cable and got an electrician to put the new 12n plug on. Now none of the lights work (brake, indicators etc.)Don't know what to do followed the colour coded wires under the caravan.

Hi, I have a thetford S-CK13000 cooker the small burner will not stay alight, it lights while you hold in the control and press the igniter, but as soon as you release the control knob it shuts off. The other burners work fine and remain lit when the control is released. Any ideas on the problem ?
Hi, We have a 2003 Lunar Solar 524, we can get our trumatic fire to work on electric but have no idea how to work it on gas. We have tried pressing the ignition etc but nothing seems to work. We've searched everywhere in the van to see if there is maybe a valve we should turn on, but can't find anything. Also, the ignition doesn't make a noise when we press it.....should it not sound like its sparking etc? All help is greatly appreciated as we are new to caravanning.....thanks in advance.

I have purchased a split charge relay for a 135ah leisure battery which i will be fitting.
I was wondering if i replace the existing 240v lights to 12v LED type, could i power them using a single p116 240v to 12v transformer after the RCD when on mains power?
Hi Tom, When I plug in 240v from house to campervan & switch on fridge, the RCB trips on supply to fridge, battery charger & water heater. I have removed the 2 fuses from the water heater. The circuit does not trip when the fridge is switched off. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Hugh
My Electrolux 4230 Fridge is no longer working on gas - I can't see a spark when I ignite and certainly no blue flame. It was working about 3 weeks ago. It works fine on 240V and on 12V when running. I'm assuming, because I can not see a spark that this is the problem (although seeing the flame and spark is always a challenge). Should I change the spark plug, the igniter or both? Is it easy to fit a spark plug to the igniter cable?

The comet mixer tap in the bathroom is leaking. Is the only replaceable part the cartridge? To remove the tap haw do I disconnect the pipes the are connected about a foot from the tap with black plastic connectors?
I have a solar panel on the roof of my motorhome but have also bought a portable one to increase the charging capacity. The one on the roof has its own regulator and coupled up to my 2 leisure batteries which are connected in parallel. This panel is only 68watts and really too small and that is why I have bought the portable one. My question is can I connect this one also to the leisure batteries and if so can it be connected to either battery, this panel has also got a regulator
hi tom can i ask a question. i have a 1996 vanroyce although the toilet works fine the knob that open and closes the seal flap it is very hard to turn and my wife really struggles to turn it, i have lubricated the seal with olive oil. what is causing the tightness?? when the cassette is out the knob is free and easy to turn and springs back to close position so the mechanism seems ok. the oblong knob on the cassette is very hard to turn, i have also unscrewed the seal assembly and lubricated the mechanism, can you suggest anything please Regards,
Hi tom. i am installing an awning light as my caravan does not have one and because my led light does not have a switch on it i am installing a separate switch too. i have put both light switch and light in place and ran wire from the neg and pos battery terminals straight to the switch then from the switch to the light. the light works fine but when you turn the light off the wire gets really hot? i've put an in line fuse in and tried thicker wire but still the same. any ideas please? many thanks
We have connected a fully charged leisure battery to our motorhome but none of the interior lights/ water pump will work. Nor do they work when connected to the hook up however the plug sockets do work on hook up?? We are going to a site with no hook up for 10 days and need to rely on our aux system? I have a Coachman 1992 VIP fitted with a Carver Cascade 2 water heater. The cold water inlet coupling at the bottom left facing the van has sheared off at the point of entry. The fitting looks similar to your part 119476 except that the right hand end is longer and is ribbed to secure it into the hose. Do you have a suitable part or could I use 119476. If so how do I get a good connection to the hose

The pilot light on my Vaillant MAG125 will not stay lit. It was OK last weekend to begin with but then when I closed the water tap the burner did not shut off so I turned it off with the control on the front but now the pilot will not stay lit. I think the thermocouple has failed. What do you think?
Hi Tom. I've got a crystal compact mk2 water socket/pump fitted to my 2001 caravan and I'm having some connection problems. It'll work intermittently, then I'll have to give it a little wiggle and it'll start again. Also sometimes the pump will be running even though there are no taps on. I notice that it is obsolete, so if I need to change it what is the alternative part. Many thanks :-)

My N145 blows the mains trip when switched to the 240 V supply but does seem to work on the gas supply. I thus assume the heating element circuit is shorting . Does this indicate I should replace the heating element? If so how do I go about replacing it?
Hi I have fault code 1 on my thetford fridge. I've downloaded a pdf file from thetford which tells me to check the 5 amp fuse. I can't locate this fuse? I've also checked the main fuse board for fridge on caravan and that's fine. Any Ideas?
I have a dometic RM 7501 fridge it has been working intermittently on 240 volts for some time . It works fine on gas but it has now stopped working on 240 volts. Could this be a heating element problem.

I have bought a 2001 Burstner Ventana 480TK and while it has sinks and taps and plumbing for a water tank, the plumbing and pump is too short to fit in my water rolling-style fresh water tank. The existing pump/plumbing sits in a hatch on the side of the caravan I presume normally has a portable water inside. How do I change the microswitch in a Reich Deluxe Single Tap? I have just bought a complete new tap but it seems the microswitch is a weak point which will fail again in the future. Experimenting with the old tap I have managed to prise off the clear plastic tap head but have been unable to remove the microswitch without serious damage to the black plastic body of the tap.

Hi Tom, I am trying to get a replacement front casing for my truma ultraheat gas fire but I am not sure what the model is. There aren't any numbers on the case, but on the actual heater it says SP353. I cant find this online, the only one I can find is a S3002. If it helps the one I need is a slimline brown front, it has the fan heater switch on the left along with a 'blank' that says 240v and the gas and the igniter button on the right. Thanks!
hi. one of the two bolts that hold the heater element in my carver cascade water has sheared, on inspection i find that the 8mm bolts are plastic. is this correct, or can i replace them with stainless steel ones?

hi i have a lunar solar caravan. The water pump was working fine until MCB switch tripped. When switch was put back on the pump would not work and the lights were dim, then would not work at all. Fridge and sockets work as they should. Can you advise a solution

Hi, I have what I believe to be a Reich Trend "A" mixer tap fitted to the bathroom in my 2006 Hymer C524. The microswitch has failed so I would like to repair. I cannot figure out how you remove the handle end to access the microswitch. The handle looks as though its moulded in ( Unlike my kitchen reich trend s tap where the handle unscrews in order to remove the cover ) Can you also advise the microswitch and the cartridge number for this tap ? I have a Coachman Pastiche 470/2 2006 and i have got a pressurised water system and the supply to the shower is not very good the Pressure switch, surge damper, inlet housing and pump have been changed. can this system be changed to non pressurised and would it improve the flow. The only tap that is ok is on the kitchen sink the bathroom sink is poor also

I have the standard fit of a gas regulator mounted on the bulkhead and a POL pigtail to connect to my UK type propane bottles.
I need a kit to take to France for a prolonged holiday.
I reckon 128068 and 135408 would cover the 20mm and 27mm adaptors which I think may cover the generally available type of bottles excluding camping gas which I believe is quite expensive and only in small bottles. I reckon a pigtail like 11969 would fit the above adaptors.
Am I right?
If correct I'll stick in the order.

Hi we have a Truma s3002 and the gas side works and the left hand side on the switch works but when you slide the switch t a position it does not do anything. Sometimes when u put pressure on it it will come through. We have had the front off and if you put pressure on the white connecter it worked? What part do I need t get it blocking hot air through? Hi I have a truma ultrastore gas and electric hot water boiler/tank 10ltr today the red light came on the controller as if to say the gas has run out. So I checked the cooker in the van and all burners worked so there is gas in the bottle. The problem is gas is not going to the truma boiler. I can hear the ignition working but it will not light. Its only happened today been using without any problem for 1 month. Any idea what would cause this. I had a friend turn it on whilst I put my nose to the exterior vent and I could not smell gas, just the sound of the ignition. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have a Chausson Motorhome and note that the gas pipe is 8mm black plastic coated steel. Are the standard fittings e.g item 126863 compatible? Do you supply suitable gas pipe to connect from the manifold to a Truma barbeque point? I have an available take off point from the 4 tap manifold as the grill has been removed and replaced with a microwave. I am not sure about the compatibility of copper pipe to this manifold as everything is piped in steel and would prefer to keep it the same. Rest assured any changes will be checked and tested by a competent person. Thanks
I have a 2006 Lunar Champ H621 motorhome and have just lost power to my water pump. All the fuses are ok but there is no power getting to the pump when I turn any of the 3 taps on. I now suspect the micro switches in all the taps have failed but I cannot work out how to get to them. They are all lift and quarter turn (hot one way, cold the other) taps, but don't know the make of any of them
Hi, I need to replace the rubber/plastic strips around my caravan, they are housed inside a metal (aluminium) strip, and my best guess is that they offer some protection from bumps, as well as providing a protection for the screws underneath, and they make it look better. mine are all the way round the outside of the van, and the top one is 12 mm wide, the bottom one is 24mm wide. would i be correct in ordering this item? 149034 if so do you have enough, as it only says 4 available, and i will probably need 12 meters. thankyou

I have a Cramer CE 04-DF/CSK three burner hob fitted in my motor home, two of the three burners light up successfully but the third one lights up when the control button is depressed in order to light the burner but goes out once the control button is released, what might be the problem, the burner was OK until just recently and the flame failure sensor appears to be close enough to the flame
Hello Tom, My Electrolux RM4360L (921076164) seems to work fine on 12vDC and 204vAC but although the pilot light ?? comes on and stays on, there is no cooling effect whatsoever. I can feel a small amount of heat from the exhaust grill but not much. Can you offer help/part required please? Ted.

Dear Tom , I was working in my 04 Elddis Odyssey 2 weeks ago with heating on . When I had finished I switched off the Ultraheat system at the Thermostatic control (beige) on/off switch , the green indicator light went off . Next day I went into the van to find it nice and cosy , I found the only way to turn off the heat was to switch off the fused switch under the flap in the wardrobe . I also noticed another day although switch was set at 2000w not much heat was amassing , as if set at 850w . Do you think this will be the Thermostatic Control Switch ( old type beige ) or the PCB or heaven forbid both ,
How to fit replacement spring for Seitz blind? Our Seitz blinds (on 20 yr old Clubman motorhome) won't retract - fly screen element rises up OK, but foil screen won't drop. I cannot see any spring tensioning screw, which you recommend to other enquiries. You have given ref. for replacement spring to another enquiry, BUT its exploded diagram relates to Heiki frame, which doesn't help me. The Seitz blind diagram is a sizing aid only, it also doesn't help me with fitting either. We are concerned about undoing screws and not being able to get it all back together. So - do you have an exploded diagram for Seitz blinds? Or other advice. Thanks.

Tom, My Trumatic Ultraheat which operates the blown air and convector heating does not generate much heat no noticeable difference 500/1000/2000 settings fan ok, seems ok on gas.

Hi Tom I have truma s3002. When I light it, it runs fine for 30 seconds then the gas cut out. Try and light it again and as soon as you release the knob it cuts out. leave it for half hour and it will light for 30 seconds or so. Any idea what the fault is?
We have just bought a new Autotrail Savannah motorhome with a Truma Combi 4E heater/boiler, the analogue controls are very coarse, either too hot or too cold, I would like to replace them with the 'CP25' digital control panel. Do you stock them ? What is the price ? can i fit it without invalidating the warranty ? is it a 'straight replacement' into the same housing? and is a new connecting cable required ? How much. We're off to Italy in December for 6 weeks. What's the best arrangement for ensuring that we don't run out of gas? We cook with electricity as often as poss. We are planning to leave with 2 full 6kg cylinders of propane and we have 2 camping gas cylinders 2.72 kgs to take with us on the basis that these are available in Europe. Hi On my cascade mk2 GE control panel the lights will not come, we have checked the main 13amp fuse in the main switch panel and seems to be ok but no lights come on for that and no green/amber lights on other panel . But when we think we have switched it on we can hear what sounds like a pilot light puff sound, and water has slightly heated when running tap can you explain please
Hi Guys, I can not see any wires on the tap in the kitchen sink. it is a swift conqueror 640 lux year 2000. the tap feels faulty but used to work the pump. should there be wires inside? also in the bathroom the cold tap has wires and runs the pump but the hot tap does not and will not start the pump? Just received new pump for Thetford C2 unit. It's slightly different than old pump [09/2003 022406].Will crimped cable joint be submerged in water when fitted back in flush water tank.

Hi, I have a 1993 avondale and the cassette loo worked fine till i emptied it last. the knob you turn to shut/ open trap/blade wont turn and waste cannot be let out in to cassette. i have removed and re-inserted cassette several times but this makes no difference. any ideas?
My Aquaroll ran dry, leaving the submersible pump running. Having refilled the aquaroll, the pump now runs continuously even though all taps are closed. What could be the problem. I have checked all the microswitches, and are all OK. Hope you can help.
I have a Thetford C2 and cannot remove the 2.5 Amp fuse to check it. Does it unscrew or just pull out. I am trying to check if pump is OK. When I press flush knob toilet lights dim slightly does this mean fuse is OK but pump is at fault.

You recently sent me a new Shurflo RV fresh water pump for my 2001 Bessacarr caravan. The pump has two wires coming from it - red (which I have connected) and black, presumably for earth. What do I connect the black earth wire to? The only available socket is at the end of two wires, one white and the other white and orange. Is that earth??

2004 Sterling Europa 500 has developed low gas pressure. Full gas bottle. Regulator mounted on bulkhead seems to have no references other than Truma. Silver with yellow on/off tap. A Remistar rooflight is fitted over the Lounge of my motorhome. The electric motor will open the roof normally (jumping a notch at times), but when trying to close, the closing is very slow (to stop), accompanied by a "jump" noise (like missing a gear notch). I have had to close the rooflight using the winder handle on more than one occasion. Is this likely to be a failing motor (which opens ok !) or is it more likely to be the gearbox or the driving mechanism failing ? Your advice would be appreciated so i may buy the appropriate replacement parts from you..
Hi. I have a Thetford Cassette toilet in my Avondale Mayfly caravan. I think it might be a C2 model but I'm not sure. Perhaps you could advise me what the Mayfly was built with. Anyway, on the holding tank just by the switch (yellow top) that controls the opening of the flap there is a hole. On your download Thetford C2 C3 + C4 Holding Tank page (exploded parts) this hole is numbered #18 but it doesn't say what it's for. The hole on my tank is open and if I pick the (full) tank up vertically to go and empty it, the contents come out of this hole! Is there a bung of some sort that should be in this hole? I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times but here it is again... I have a 2006 Adria Altea TRUMA crystal pump and the last time we were out the water pump kept running and clicked all night...I have been advised to replace the microswitches but the one in the shower room is not connected to anything - How does my water system work as it seems the microswitches are doing nothing also I cannot see a way to access the microswitch on the kitchen tap and don't want to have to remove the oven to get access underneath!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Tom, Can you help? A common enough problem it seems. run any tap in the van and you can hear the pump running on. Sometimes it will stop and sometimes we have to switch the pump off. I have tried shaking the submersible pump to get air out and also filled the pipe with water before switching on. The chattering noise we hear does not appear to come from the pump which is on the nearside but from behind the fuseboard on the offside at the very front of the under seat locker. I have read as much as I can about this and it seems that microswitches are actually inside the taps, is that always so?
The kitchen tap on my Hymer 530 (built 2005) is a Reich Trend A. The tap has started to leak with a small drip from the spout. I suspect the cartridge. Hi, I incorrectly ordered Bowden Cables 124428 for my AL-KO boat trailer and need to return them for an exchange. I now realise I should have ordered Knott type with a full threaded end where it attaches to the splitter bar and soldered nipple at the wheel. I finally got to work on it this weekend and note that the existing cables are marked 1189 AL-KO 299711HL1020 ad 2899 AL-KO 299711HL1020 - can you confirm that I should order replacements as 124632 please? I have a truma s3002 heater in my motorhome. This works well if the flue is disconnected (for test purposes only!) but will not sustain a flame (cuts out when you release the gas knob) if the flue is connected. It has a new gas valve and has a two stage regulator in front as its a 30mbar unit in a 50mbar van. The flue pipe seems clear. This has not worked as long as I have owned the motorhome. Any ideas?

Hi Tom Our caravan was fitted with Butane gas but I am trying to convert to propane, but when I switch to the propane bottle the red light comes on the heater panel, but it works fine when I switch back to butane. Any advice please? Also the Truma space heater igniter isn't working, it works fine on 230v but when I press the auto-igniter nothing happens, no clicking so no ignition. Hi, I have a 2001 Swift Challenger 530se the problem is my hot water tank heats ok but when I wake up in morning and switch hot tap on there is no hot water, and no water just air in the system until tank fills back up. Hi the fan on my trumatic ultraheat, is only working on idle speed I have replaced the control switch on the top left of the fire,teb2 version with 1-5 control speed and manual and auto setting, on turning the dial the fan does not speed up, could it be the pcb on the back of the fan?
My caravan is an Elddis Vogue. When I last towed it, on stopping and pulling away I could hear a clunk from the hitch. I subsequently found out it had no grease and I ended up pumping a whole can in. This seemed to improve the damper, which has resistance when I push it in, but very little when I pull it back out. Do I need to replace my damper? Is this an easy job?
We have a 2007 Swift Conqueror - Opening the outside door lock has always been a problem - I understand that this is a recurring problem and can be fixed by sandpapering the interior cam - I would prefer to purchase but am unsure what to get. Is the Hartal interior the one to get i.e. with the internal works or is it the full works i.e. including exterior lock etc. Queer difference in price!

HI, My Carver water heater (in my 1999 Bailey Moselle) seems to be tripping out the main switch in the caravan. I am also having problems with a leaky whale sink tap (which I shall fix shortly) and am wondering if the lack of pressure makes the water heater throw the main switch as a safety measure. I can't really see that happening as the trip switch is a safety device. must be current overload. Unless the immersion heater element in the carver is going into overload because there is no water in it?? any suggestions?

Hi, I have a Morco water heater that won't heat my water. The pilot light is lighting and when I turn on the hot water tap the burner ignites and heats the water for a few moments and then goes luke warm/cold. I have 2010 motorhome with 7kg butane cylinders. I want to replace adaptor [not connecting easily] on which it states "Outlet GB 21.8 x 1.814LH" on top and underneath "Made in EEC Raccord Rapide 21 Quick Coupling". Current adaptor looks exactly like picture on your website under "20mm clip on adaptor" BUT I'm confused at ref to 21 on the underside of my current adaptor. My Trumatic S5002 heater will switch on and give a small amount of heat out for a short while then it stops giving heat out. Would this be the thermostat telling it that the desired temperature has been reached (when it definitely hasn't)?
Hi Tom I have a thetford N80 fridge which I am having trouble when switched to gas. I replaced the ignighter and the gas lights now but it wont stay lit. The flame indicator is showing a flame and there definately is a flame because i have checked with assistance. Immediately i let go of the gas knob the flame extinguishes and the flame indicator shows no flame. Do you think i need a new thermostat or a gas valve?

Hi Tom, When I put the key in my caravan door lock the key will not turn either way. The lock is a Hartal right handed exterior door lock. I saw that you can just buy the barrel and keys on the net but when I took my lock apart and removed the barrel I noticed that the barrel is different from the ones pictured on the net. My barrel is grooved on either side so that it slides into the chamber on the body of the lock. At the bottom of the barrel where it is held in place with a circlip extending from the barrel is a 30 - 40mm piece of flat metal(tang) that extends into the body of the lock when assembled. I cannot see any of these types of hartal barrels to purchase. Do you know if these types of barrels can be bought or is the only answer to buy a complete unit.

I have a European imported motorhome with 50mbar gas regulators. At some stage since it was imported the Gas fire (Truma 3002) has been replaced. The pilot burner starts OK, but if I try and turn it up past 2 it cuts out. I bench tested with a 30mBar reg, all OK. I suspect this is a 30mbar version, how can I verify this? Does the Burner Complete 50 mbar for Trumatic S3002 part number 148610 come with all the necessary jets etc to convert to 50mBar operation?

Hi Tom I had a problem with the blind at the gas hob. It would not go up or down. Having been a blind man for 35 years I knew not to put oil on it so I cleaned it soapy cloth, but not much improvement. So I then cleaned it with furniture cream that has done the trick. I wanted it right for sale.

Hi Tom, my coupling head on a elddis crusader is not pivoting correctly. When looking from the front the hitch head is slightly twisted in relation to the ground and when you try to rotate the hitch it will not move to the left but will move/twist to about the 2'oclock position. Any ideas, thanks
We have an eleven year old Elddis autoquest 400 motor home that we have not used over the winter. Yesterday the pump for the taps and water gauge would only work when switched to veh mode so we charged the leisure battery overnight in the garage but this still has not charged fully. I see from the receipts included with the sale that this had been a problem in 2009 but the battery was changed and then changed again in 2010. Any suggestions regarding the cause of this and is it a common problem?

I’ve tested the electric supply behind the fridge and this has power. My thetford N112 caravan fridge LCD display keeps coming on and off with a spanner icon and fault code 12. The blue light flashes on and off meaning the fridge is not working. I have a Thetford 250 CWE toilet that has stopped flushing. I am reasonable certain it the PCB in the top of the tank, as if I remove this and run a 12v supply through the connector the pumps works OK. Can you tell me what part no to order.
Tom, I have abbey GT214 1990, on the side of the caravan by the Thetford door is a round thread like connection with a hole and two smaller holes could you tell what this is for. If it is for filling up the onboard water tank where would I find the part required for filling. Currently I’m filling it by hand.
The power sockets (2) in my motorhome cut out, and stay off for varying lengths of time. The fuses are not blowing, and the main trip switches stay on. The fridge (separate circuit) stays on, so it's not a problem with the EHU supply

Hi Tom, I have a Elddis avante 556 (2006), First outing of the year and the Kitchen mixer tap spout appears to have split (not left open over winter!). Hi, I have a new water pump cartridge to replace but the old one won’t come loose to allow use to change it, it’s a screw up one, is there a special tool I need to do this ,as we feel if we use brute force we may snap the plastic hold bit on the cartridge itself , could you suggest anything so we may get it loose? thanks

The Hartal door lock replacement kit comes with a separate cylinder lock to insert. Do I need to purchase the lock removal kit in order to displace the engagement clip or should it just push the cylinder in. It doesn’t seem to house fully.
The awning rail has pulled away from the caravan and some of the screws are rusty can this be repaired would I replace the old rail or would I be best to buy a new piece of rail if so where could I get this and what could I do if the screws wouldn’t screw back many thanks Tracey
I have a motorhome as make & model below. The bottom door hinge leaf only has broken the fly screen is still attached. Your product 0844770776 is identical to the broken one. It is easily unscrewed from the door and fly screen BUT it is pop riveted to the door frame. Can I just carefully punch the centre pin out of the existing hinge and replace the broken door leaf with the same from your product?? or will I have to drill the pop rivets out of the hinge complete and frame and then fit the new product and hopefully refit new pop rivets.
Dear Tom, my door lock on my Abbey GTS 420 is very stiff to turn the key, the inside is a grey colour with the red and green painted dots for lock and unlock, I have sprayed with wd 40, but this has not helped, and I am worried it may break the key. How door I remove the lock from the inside of the van, I have undone the two screws under the hidden plate, but it does not come free, and I don't want to force it?
Hi I have a thetford c200s/cs cassette toilet when I press the flush button it pumps a little water and then blows the 3 amp fuse I have removed the control panel and the connection from the reed switch to the led bulb has been broken would this be the reason or is it more likely to be the electric valve

I have a Lunar Chateau 500 and the Reich single mixer with shower attachment is leaking from underneath, I believe the cartridge needs replacing but I cannot get it out, I have removed the top and loosened the three screws that appear to hold it in but I cannot remove the outer casing to expose the cartridge. could you advise please how I get the cartridge out, I don’t have a model number I’m afraid.
I recently had an accident with a height barrier and destroyed the flue on the roof of my caravan. I have recently purchased a new flue from you to replace the broken one. On fitting the new flue I had to trim back the silver internal flue and it is now approx.15mm short of the lip inside the new unit. Is there any way I can extend the flue or seal the slight gap between the flue and the new fitting.

Due to my own error it sprang a leak (frost damage) which I have repaired but access to the underside of the unit is very difficult as it has a red and blue angled connector like your items 239238 & 239584 and these are tucked up behind the sink bowl so I have to dismantle the cabinet or remove the sink to get access! 2 Questions - a) can I replace the workings of the tap unit with something with longer connectors that are easier to access? or b) is it possible to replace existing connectors with longer connectors 240115 & 240116? and if so, will these still connect to plastic hoses with jubilee clips?? Or am I better replacing the whole tap??

Hi, I recently bought a second-hand caravan with a C-200 CW loo. We have found that the flush generated by the manual pump is very poor, and are used to an electric flush from a previous caravan. Looking at the parts diagram it seems to me that I should be able to upgrade the loo to an electric flush as they are very similar. I have a Sterling elite Trekker 2003. I am trying to replace a broken shower head. I can obtain a replacement, it looks like Reich Kama duett head but the one you sell has the theard on the outside of the body of the head. So the shwer hose will screww over the top if the thead on the head. I n my model the thread is internal inside the head so that the head screws over a thread on the shower hose. Looks like Reich have changed the thread in recent models. Any idea how I can overcome this?

Hi, my shower cartridge is leaking and i need to replace it, i dont know the tap make, its a single lever tap, the handle is silver plastic, with a chrome body,the cartridge is 35mm dia x 28mm deep plus 24mm dia x 10mm deep. with the tap lever of 10mm square. it looks simular to your product 138198 with three holes but its blue. the only numers on the part are the date 2004/12/03. when i try to operate my carver cascade 2 boiler using gas system, it doesnt heat the water or seem to do anything at all but is working on the electric setting, its not lighting or making any noises, what could the problem be?
Reich Mixer tap (silver plastic) Have had to remove sink tap due to faults with leakage and micro switch. To enable removal of tap had to cut plastic hot and cold water feed pipes. Not sure which Do you have any idea which model of tap this might be? There are two 8 mm copper pipes leading from the tap housing. Can your firm supply a replacement tap unit and items such as 8-10mm push fit reducers, 10 mm straight through couplings + appropriate red and blue plastic water pipe? I think this is 10 mm but it might be 12 mm if using outside diameter od pipe. Thanks for your help. Jeff Welch.

hi i have a RM7605L in my motor home and it wont work on gas anymore a friend who is a gas engineer but on household goods, and within the burner unit there is a probe/senser that the pilote light sits below? and this has coroded and broken, on the diagram it dosnt show you can buy this so i take it it is a part of the unit itself? is this the case if so i will order the unit, just wanted to be sure.many thanks Ian

After I turn the ignition knob to ignite the little flame it ignites ok.But when I turn the knob back to the standby position the little flame goes off.
I am rather confused as to what to use to sterilise my water systems.The hand book says that they recommend the use of Milton 2 to do this but later on in the Truma combi boiler section,they say to sterilise they recommend Certisil-Argento and that products containing chlorine may damage the unit.Does the fresh water with Miltons in it go through the heater? Things seem so complicated- help!!
I have an autotrail with 3 orange side marker light each side of the vehicle, the wiring simply runs underneath and to the little plastic bulb holders, they then fit into the orange plastic side reflectors by way of bayonete push and turn to secure. can i purchase new bulb holders as the weather has rotted away some of mine, they seem simple but are hard to find.
hi tom could you tell me what the white wire is on the 12 volt side on a thetford 145 is having trouble wiring it up if i put it to red wire it blows fuse if i put it to black it blows yet there are only the three wires there it all works on gas and 230 volts confused.
I have a 6 yr old trumatic C 6002 EH boiler, it has never seemed to work properly, very intermittent, my control panel is the trumatic C. If I am hooked to the elec supply, or just using from the gas, when turning the outer dial to heat only and have selected poss heating to 3, the green light comes on as though all is happening normally, then a minute or so later, and after a series of clicks from the boiler, the red fail lamp comes on, i repeat the process 2 or 3 times but to no avail, I have a full gas bottle, the gas is flowing, the elec is connected, all the usual checks done to include pressing the reset switch on the side of the boiler, I don't have water in the system as I am using it for winter and don't want to risk freezing up, do you have any advice to give, i have downloaded the schematic map of parts etc in readiness to ring truma about this prob, but have just found this site and really rate the work with the answers given. one other point, if i just dial the water heater when in summer use, no probs, i get what i want!. thanks in anticipation..
Our motorhome is fitted with a Truma C6002,we noticed a burning smell coming from the heating band. We now require a replacement band but do not require the conversion kit . Is this band available on its own, if so do you know the price.

I own a bailey senator California caravan purchased new in 2009, intermittently the omnivent extractor fan will not allow us to extract from the van, the intake starts up first and works after a fashion. When trying to select the extract the lights iliminate but they will not stay on to extract. Occasioanlly we have been lucky in getting it to extract but rarely

I have a 2005 Hymer Freetec 582. Every time the temperature drops below 4'C the boiler drain valve operates and drains the boiler - as it should. Unfortunately it also completely empties the fresh water tank, which according to the hand book "all other parts of the drinking water system remain filled". For a winterised motorhome that we intend to take with us for winter skiing it is obviously a problem if each day we leave the motorhome to ski we are going to return to a completely empty freah water tank. Can you please assist with advice that may correct the problem?
Hi, the door panel appears to be in two pieces with a silicone bead between them is it possible to remove this part of the panel, the edges do not appear to be bonded to the door. Alternatively is it possible to remove the lock to gain access to the wires. Thanks

Tom, My Trumatic Ultraheat which operates the blown air and convector heating has failed, as when I switch it on the green light on the control switch comes on and fades immediately, hence no heat. The fan still works as does the water system. can you please diagnose my problem.

Hi Tom. I have a Coachman Amara 530/4 built 2002. Several of my overhead locker hinges are broken or tight. Do you know how I get replacements? I am assuming these are general and not just for Coachman.
My fridge freezer RM6505 is not working all the lights are coming on and you can hear the motor kicking in but the fridge or freezer is not getting cold on mains 12volt or gas. Any ideas please with what’s wrong with it.

Hi Tom, my Dometic fridge gas viewer window in fridge shows a red sooty type flame, I have cleaned the jet many times after which it shows the correct blue coloured flame. Do you think a blast of compressed air is the only answer!
Hi Tom, I have a comet mixer tap with shower outlet, when testing it out I found that not only does water come out of the shower head but pours from the top of the tap as well. I have removed the mixer tap top to reveal a large Nikon nut .....question are these taps separable. Regards Ray

I have Dometic RM7271 Absorption Fridge. If the LED does not light up on 12V, does it mean that the fridge is not working? There is voltage at the terminal block on top of the fridge.

My RM7651L fridge compartment is only cooling to about 16 degrees the separate freezer compartment is ok at -14 degrees. I have checked the temp control knob spindle and it is not broken so I am thinking it is the temp probe is there any way to test this? Or bypass it to get it working till I get home
