Excellent Water Repellent Coating
by Peteh55 (19 Nov 2019)

Have used Fabsil on tents etc for years, now I've used it on my car soft top. It's given great water repellency, the rain just runs straight off!
It's easy to apply with a brush or spray bottle, just make sure you take notice of the safety warnings.

had been looking for a decent waterproofer for the tent for a while. Good product easy to apply and can be used on clothes, rucksacks and trousers as well. Coverage was okay as I wasn't sure how much I would need (6 birth tent). Will certainly purchase again.

Easy To Apply With Paintbrush And This Avoids Getting Overspray ...

Easy to apply with paintbrush and this avoids getting overspray as with other products. Working well at repelling and beading water after 3 months.
Good For Cabriolets
by Mr B Stirling (09 May 2017)

Always good Fabsil is. I use it on my car fabric roof. I have to apply a fair amount. (A full tin) in one setting but it does bead the water for the full winter/autumn months. I guess I use a whole cab because the weave on the roof is wider than a tent

bought 2 cans to do a gazebo with a sprayer, you need that much. worked really well. DO NOT BREATH THIS STUFF IN, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND TAKE THE SAFETY WARNINGS SERIOUSLY.
The gazebo is now completely water tight and the liquid is completely invisible once dry.
Highly recommend it

Leaking Shade Sail
by Peter A. (29 Jul 2016)
(5/5)
We bought a new but cheap shade sail which proved not to be waterproof, it was then replaced by the vendor and the replacement also was not waterproof. As we now had two we decided we could afford to experiment and modified one and used FABSIL to waterproof it properly. We now have a garden shade we can shelter under in both sun and rain. One small problem was that we had to use a magnifying glass to read the instructions

Superb waterproofer for the soft top on my 10 year old convertible.
1 ltr is enough to give the roof 2 generous applications. I would therfore recommend buying 1 ltr each year and applying spring and autumn.

What can I say, used it to waterproof my tent and motorbike jacket, both are now hydrophobic!
Does what it says on the tin.
But do use it outside or in an extremely well vented place, powerful fumes until it's dry.

Needed to re seal the tent, that I am using for storage, little holes have been appearing so taped them up first and applied this with a sprayer, the litre didn't go very far so I have had to order more.

Easy to apply. Used a paint brush. Maybe the way I was applying it but I got through more that I expected. Haven't yet tested its waterproofing abilities. Very high vapour so make sure there is plenty of flowing air.

Keep The Rain At Bay
by Rasbray (29 Jun 2014)

Well guys it really does what it says on the tin with great efficiency.
I have an eight year old polyester fabric tent made by a very prominent tent maker (name to be kept) who when I conntacted them for assistance for my leaking tent - it was worse than a sieve - they basically wrote it off, nothing they could suggest.
So look I looked a the Fabrisil spec and the gold ticked the boxes - and it did.
I have now got a useable weather resistant tent again.
Fabsil Weather Proofer

The soft top on my MGF is quite old, probably the original from 1996. Whether it's ever been re-proofed is anyone's guess.
I gave it a couple of coats, used the whole tin. I absolutely drenched it! I did cover the seats with a plastic cover and over the last few days it has been raining, slight bit of moisture on the plastic. Got another tin coming and I'll give it another thick coat. That should do it, hopefully. It's really easy to put it on, just slap it on and it dries as if nothing has been there. There's no hint of colour so I would presume it would be fine on any colour of hood. But don't quote me on that!
Good Stuff.

Did what i wanted.Proofed my hood for my sidecar and it stayed dry, even in the recent deluge.Does help to clean surfaces thoroughly.
