Despite its reputation for being difficult to install this one went in quite quickly with a very liberal spray of silicon and the use of a plastic spatula
Made A Big Difference

Strange, but I got the wrong colour although this colour really cheers up the whole surround from the dull grey one and now fits with no edges pulling out. Would be a nice idea if you sold the tools to put it in but didnt try looking for them as thought I had some (none came up as an extra option). Really nice looking now and sets the window off a treat, just have the rest to do sometime.

Fits well but use an applicator tool to insert it
Great Value

Strip was good quality, but you need an insert tool to fit them, which is not sold, so I had to purchase elsewhere. Virtually impossible to fit properly without tool. Needs to be added to stock list!
To Short

Grey insert is to short 23 mm yet rubber window seal long which I ordered but 2 mm short on window rubber which was plenty off seal more than 2 mm short bit funny
Exactly What Was Required

Exact match for caravan window seals. A bit stiff but heating with a hairdryer made it easier to insert in channel. Windows now look perfect.
Bought Along With 25mm Window Seals
by Rob (29 Mar 2021)

Bought 25mm window seals and these 23mm inserts. Bit worried when they arrived they wear a bit too small. After fitting it would have been impossible to fit 25mm inserts. These fit perfectly.

Finishing Touch To Seal Replacement
by Lunar Owner (20 Aug 2020)
(5/5)
Inexpensive trim used to finish replacement of window seal on a Lunar caravan. Grey colour matched original inserts perfectly. A bit fiddly to slide into the rubber window seal, but with a light spray of silicone lubricant all round the seal faces, and using a blunt screwdriver to tease the insert in, this was easier than I feared. Would certainly recommend.
Shrunk Insert At Window Corners
by Happy caravanner (18 Aug 2020)

Cut off the distorted and hardened insert at the corners. Measure the remaining gap to fill and add extra 50 mm length of new insert. Fit new insert with a 25 mm overlap each end. No gluing or welding required.

I had to replace the old one due to shrinkage. Service was great considering we are in Lockdown.

These opening window rubber inserts are an exact match to the existing inserts. The old ones had shrunk and pulled out at the corners. Fitting was easy and the windows all look great again.
Purchase was hassle free and the trim arrived a few days later.

It Works
by Mrs Nichols (27 Sep 2013)

I bought the plastic insert 23mm grey, not as a rubber insert, but as a slider for 3 of my Rapido windows as the original plastic slider had snapped & could not find replacement from any supplier. After a little trimming & obviously making sure clips were in the right place, we now have window sliders that do the job.
IT WORKS! So pleased we found Leisure Shop Direct nothing is to much trouble, prompt delivery competitive pricing, Well done!
Grey 25mm Strip - Perfect For Our Lunar
by Mr Evans (18 Aug 2013)
(5/5)
Got this for our Lunar Quasar (2009). The offside of the caravan faces south when it's in our garden, so like every other caravan we've had over the last 30 years the sun causes the lower corners of the offisde window strip to buckle and bulge outwards. Maybe I make it worse by having loose reflective panels fitted in the windows when the caravan is stored in our back garden. These panels reflect the sun back onto the strip, so the strip is getting a double dose of ultra violet.
The original strip measured 23.7mm, and there was a few millimeters slack in the rubber so I ordered the 25mm strip. I found it very flexible and easy to fit in full sunshine; get one edge in and flip the rubber over the other edge with a fat knitting needle. Just remember to mark the screw positions for all of the window furniture before installing it - I used pencil which is easily rubbed off the black rubber after the job is finished.
The colour is identical to the original fitterd by Lunar. At this price I won't hesitate to do the job again in a few years time (if necessary).

Plastic Insert 25mm Grey For Opening Window Rubber
by Mr Lister (17 May 2013)

Usual quick delivery and excellent price. Strip fitted perfectly into my old Ace Ambassabor windows. Probably best to fit this on a warm day though.
Bit time consuming to fit. Exisiting strip comes out really easy. To fit the new strip it seems best to push the rubber into rubber one side firmly then encourage the opposite side into the rubber by lifting with a small screwdriver or similar.
Average time 1 hour per window so stay calm! Don't let this put you off though. The result is worth the effort.

Took me some time to fit into the grove of the new 27 mm rubber, used plenty of washing up liquid on it and eventually got the job done. It really looks good and I'm well pleased with the result.. Good quick delivery.
Plastic Insert 23mm Grey For Opening Window Rubber
by Mr Lowe (25 Jun 2011)

Good price. Out of stock initially, but did not have to wait long. Seems stiffer than ABI's original insert, which made it tricky to fit into the new window rubbers around the corners, even in warm weather. However, it does the job and looks good.

Unfortunately slightly the wrong grey for my old Bailey caravan but has done the job. Not your fault !
Easy to fit with old screwdriver with not too sharp end to lift rubber.
Arrived very quickly as usual and in one 2 meter piece ( I ordered 2 x 1m)
e x a c t l y as I wanted.

Bought this to replace old broken and faded insert. Was a bit tricky to fit at 1st ,but then remembered the old cord trick in the rubber edging with some soapy water . And it just slipped in lovely . Made the windows inside my old swift (91) look great.well worth the time doing , and cheep to do too :-)
