Haven't had a chance to calibrate, but 1st weight was in the expected ball-park. Instructions say to use on level ground, but camper is parked on a sideways slope, and scale has small base, so stability wasn't 100% (thus the 3 star rating for that attribute). Developers should have a method to deal with the fact that the whole earth isn't level :-)

For convenience this is ideal for measuring the nose weight of your caravan ,its made out of metal with well defined easy to see weight markings on the side. easy to use,
its fairly light and doesn't take up much room so easy to take with you and store in a cupboard to locker.
Remember that its recommended to measure the nose weight of your caravan at the same hight as your tow ball. As it happens once the jockey wheel is up the hitch rests at the same height as my tow ball anyway so I didn't need to add anything under the nose weight gauge to achieve the correct height,

Checked this against a known weight and was spot on. I then used my old gauge and that was a wopping 15kg out (lower reading). Like they say "you get what you pay for" the Milenco was money well spent. I now tow with piece of mind that my nose weight is correct.

This gauge is fantastic, i had a seriously difficult time getting my nose weight down to 75kgs (limit on my car) with my old gauge, when i did hit the 75kgs the caravan was awful to tow. I purchased this gauge and to my horror my old gauge was miles out. The old gauge was reading 110kgs when this gauge was reading 55kgs. I loaded the nose weight to 75kgs on this gauge and the van now tows like a dream.
Its much easier to use than the old gauge, it has a solid base and very clear markings.
It feels sturdy as i would expect from milenco products, it also comes in a handy bag to store it in.
I now keep this in the locker and use it on each outing.

It works. It measures the nose weight of your caravan. I haven't tested the accuracy of its calibration but having moved things around in the caravan to achieve the optimum weight it towed very smoothly and my fuel consumption improved. It seems robust, although I've only used it twice so far

Purchased this to check the weight on a twin axle trailer I use. Really easy to use, solid sturdy construction. Was a little wary of spending the higher amount as there are so many guages out there that are considerably cheaper, but this really is a case of you getting what you pay for. would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a stable towing experience.

Don't waste time with cheaper noseweight gauges. I did and couldn't get a sensible reading. This one is the best and vital to ensure towing stability without exceeding the limits on your car. With caravans getting more nose heavy it is vital to check. Forced me to change to gaslight bottles even though my CRV has a 100kg towbar limit.

Seems accurate enough but it is high off the ground (52cm, 22.5 in) uncompressed - not a problem for myself as my van is on a slope.

All caravanners should have one of these!
Because our new car has a relatively light 70kg tow bar limit, I bought a Milenco gauge which has a claimed very good accuracy. It is very easy to use and allowed me to easily balance the 'vans loading to get the nose weight spot on. I now keep the gauge in the car so it is always to hand when hitching up.

This I bought for weighing the nose weight of our caravan. It is very good but the only thing to be aware of is when I move the weight in the caravan to try and adjust the nose weight I found the reading didn't alter until I took the weight back onto the jockey wheel and then lowered it again.

The nose gauge did exactly what it said on the box and was quick and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone new to caravanning who is unsure of the noseweight of their van particularly if they are close to the maximum towing weight for their vehicle.

My previous gauge did not operate smoothly and if you moved the hitch up and down slightly would give reading which varied by up to 9 kg. I had no faith in it. The Milenco nose weight gauge is smooth and, having checked it against alternative methods of measurement seems to be accurate.
Those that do not meet the British Standard should carry a health warning.

This is a very easy to use Noseweight gauge. I purchased this as it adheres to BS standard. It seems very accurate, and I have peace of mind that my caravan has the correct Noseweight. Would recommend to other caravaners.

This is an excellent piece of equipment and is lightweight and easy to use, also like that it is calibrated and accurate. The handy carry bag that comes with it is very useful.

After a scare with the car and van snaking I purchased a Milenco Nose Weight Gauge to check and found that the nose weight was too heavy for the tow car. Now its set exactly as it should be. Good product easy to use. I have checked the calibration and it is still accurate.

Bought this as it is easy to use and is the only one calibrated to a British Standard, at least that is what I was told. Rather than mess around with bathroom scales and a length of wood or worse still try and pick up the A frame to guess the nose weight this can just be propped under the ball hitch before attaching the van to the car and any adjustments made quickly and easily. As we are new to caravanning easy is better and it's one less thing to worry about. Good price and speedy delivery from supplier; can't ask for more.

This gauge replaced another make I bought very recently which I reviewed elsewhere and gave it 1 star. Thank goodness I now have a decent piece of equipment at last.
This one seems strong, well made, substantial, easy to use and easy to read. No gimmicks just an excellent product. I have to admit that I haven't checked its accuracy but others say its accurate and I have no reason to disagree. It also comes in a natty little drawstring bag.
All I have to do now is to try and load my caravan to get the noseweight right as it always seems a bit light!

Excellent product easy to use and gave me a feeling of security when towing knowing everything was balanced properly; if its not correct when you start its so easy to re read once you have moved something round.

I used this product for the first time recently after buying a second-hand 'van' and it's so easy to use. This vital check only adds a couple of minutes to final preparations before setting off on a journey. It comes with a handy bag and takes up very little space. This is one product that's a must for novice caravan user's and would undoubtedly benefit all 'experienced' users who think they know about loading caravans but rarely or never bother to check their van nose weights.

Used this to set caravan nose weight to correct level (75Kg in my case). Very easy to use and it has made a significant difference to the ride comfort when towing. It's amazing what a difference 5Kgs can make to a smooth ride and its easy with this unit to get the balance spot on.

My Wife bought me this model from Peak Outdoors for my birthday.We have just bought a Caravan for our retirement,don't know much about them,so she thought it might come in useful.It was delivered on time(on my birthday as it happens),the caravan was on the drive,so no time like the present.
It worked a treat,straight forward,easy to set up and easy to read.It is going to be much used in the foreseeable future.

As a retired driving instructor this is the only gauge to give a correct reading.If used you will tow safer and every other road user will also be safe ,seen to many poor setups on the road
