2 FAQs on the Dometic Heater

Hi, I have a caravan fridge ( Electrolux RM 4230/1) it switches on but doesn't get cold. Will the element need replacing ? if so do you have a part number and price of unit Please. I have been informed that the 62 series has the same element, is this the case ? Thanks
The element for this fridge is our part 139569.
Ref: Electrolux Refrigerator RM 4213S installed in small caravan. When connected to 240v mains and the thermostat switch is in the ' off ' position the green indicator switch is lit and all electricals are ok. When the thermostat switch is turned on the green indicator go's off and the R C D in the caravan and the pitch supply point is tripped 'OFF'. When the thermostat switch is turned OFF and the R C D's are reset the van electricals return to normal and the fridge green light is lit. Suggestions please, is there any simple checks I could do on the thermostat?
This is most likely a fault with the heating element, our part 139569, rather than the thermostat. If you can pull the fridge forward so that you can disconnect the positive wire of the heating element you should find that the power will not trip when you operate the thermostat.
There should be 4 screws through the side wall of the fridge that need to be removed before the fridge can be pulled forward.
