7 FAQs on the Truma Carver Non Return Water Inlet Valve

Carver Cascade II. Re carver water heater 11. cant get rid of the air in my water heater. was wondering if there is a one way valve needs replacing any help would be good for the part i require Thanks Tony Customer Service: you would need to ask our technical team, they have engineers available for answering the questions
It is possible that the cold water feed connection that includes a non return valve could be faulty. Our ref 128606.
Hi There, My carver2 run hot water tap doesn't flow and the water in the aqua roll is getting very hot . I noted in one of your previous mails that there is a return valve in line , if you think this is also my problem do you have a part number so I can get one ordered from you please.....or do you have any other thoughts?? Many thanks!!
Important to change the non-return valve first, our ref. 128606. This is positioned at the bottom right hand corner of the heater and is connected to the blue piping.
the hot water on my carver cascade 2GE goes to a dribble after about 10/15 seconds and eventually stops. the cold water is working fine
It is almost certainly a problem with the non return valve at the water heater. This is combined with the cold water inlet fitting that you will find at the bottom right hand corner of the heater when looking at the inside. It is probably best to replace the fitting, our ref. 128606, which unscrews from the heater. The original fittings were white in colour.
I have a Coachman 1992 VIP fitted with a Carver Cascade 2 water heater. The cold water inlet coupling at the bottom left facing the van has sheared off at the point of entry. The fitting looks similar to your part 119476 except that the right hand end is longer and is ribbed to secure it into the hose. Do you have a suitable part or could I use 119476. If so how do I get a good connection to the hose
The cold water inlet has a non return valve incorporated and is our part 128606. This is suitable for connecting to flexible hose with a hole clip.
how do yo fill a carver cascade mk 2 water heater with water i have just bought the van and not sure how to work it the pump is new but doesn't pump water into the tank
Assuming that you have water coming from your cold tap when the pump is operating, then there must be a blockage in the feed to the Carver heater. This is most likely caused by a faulty cold water inlet connection which screws into the tank at the bottom right hand corner. If you remove this part from the tank and ensure that the check valve inside is free to move. If not then you may need to replace the fitting, our ref. 128606.
hi tom need to change cold water valve bottom right looking from back on a carver cascade 11 but not sure what valve it is its a white in color i notice 2 in the pats list
This is our part 128606, colour now black.
Hi, I have a 1992 Abbey Stafford with a carver water heater. The hot water doesn't flow as fast as it used to and I wondered what was wrong with it please.
This is possibly caused by the cold water non-return valve sticking. This is the cold water inlet to the water heater but of course controls the flow of water coming out of the heater.

Perfect Part But Prepare For Fitting

by David Cross (09 Apr 2019)

Totally correct replacement. Please ensure you prepare the threads of the cast aluminium heater section prior to any attempt to fit. Should you fail to clean the threads there is a chance you could break the replacement part as you tighten it against the shoulders of the nut section. I used a liquid gasket product used by plumbers which acted as a lubricant and also ensured a seal where the aluminium threads had corroded.

This was perfect for the job. These plastic bits in my 20+ year old carver have all started to disintegrate and I was pleased to get bits that fitted. Delivery was prompt so I could get on with the job. The only down side was removing the old fittings.

Purchased this along with hot water outlet. Removed Carver heater from motorhome to readily access remnants of old fittings that left threaded segment in hole. Threads are M16 x 2mm. Used Sikaflex 512 product to re-seal unit heater in place.
