Noisy Alde 3010 Boiler

My Alde 3010 boiler had become noisy and seem to be taking longer to reach temperature . When close to the Boiler outlet flue I could here the boiler rumberling . I have a white boiler outlet cover this cover was also becoming a brown tarnished colour, i assume this was due to unburnt gasses. I’m no boiler technician but this was a simple remove & replace job for me. I’m very pleased with the result as now my boiler is considerably quieter . Listening at the flue outlet the boiler is now burning smooth with a constant roar and is definitely reaching temperature quicker. Job sorted 👍

Fitting An Alde 3010/3020 Complete Burner.

As an experienced engineer I found this burner very easy to fit. It is not a job for those with no knowledge or tools for the job. I bought it because the original one had completely burned out on the ignition electrodes and the gas flow jets were about 50% clogged with soot and scale. Setting the spark gap is very simple (3.5 to 4.5mm) and must be done prior to fitting. All in all the Aldi complete burner is an excellent piece of equipment that, if fitted correctly, will give good service.
