The Outwell Parkdale 4PA - 4 Person Air Tent is an ideal family tent that packs multiple features into a compact package. While it is slightly smaller than its siblings, it is the perfect shelter for those quick, last-minute weekends away with the kids. Setup is easy, thanks to the inflatable elements, and it is extremely sturdy, allowing you to pitch it year-round, no matter what the weather decides to do.
The interior of the tent features two bedrooms - great for keeping parents and children separate. And each features Parkdale's handy Quick and Quiet magnetic doors, which helps to get rid of annoying zip noises in the night. Operating the doors is easy. You just pull the door apart without any need to unzip it. Then it magically closes shut behind you with no zipping required. Plus, the Outwell Parkdale includes a zip which allows you to zip it shut if you want to.
The living spaces in the tent are well thought out and provide ample room for up to four people. The sleeping area is at the rear of the tent, measuring a massive 215 cm in length and over 280 cm in width. In front of it is the main living space - a further 180 cm in length - followed by the porch area, providing another 220 cm of space.
At the front of the tent, there is a bug screen - great for hot summer days. And Outwell includes a hook track system that you can use for suspending lights from the roof of the tent. The track runs around the edge of the roof and then through the middle.
Sleeping four in two Premier Bedrooms with Panorama outlook, the three zones of the Parkdale 4PA maximise flexibility for active campers with Quick & Quiet Access between the outer and inner zones. The Rear Ventilation System allows options from open fully to neatly sealed by a zip and the many windows ensure a light-filled tent.
In summary, Outwell's Parkdale 4PA is the ultimate utility tent for busy families on the move, thanks to simple setup and innovative features.
Hanging Storage | Yes | A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system. |
Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4000 | The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example. |
Material | Polyester | Most tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent. |
Number of Bedrooms | 2 | This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space. |
Persons | 4 | Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips. |
Pole construction | Inflatable Air Tubes | This is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium). |
Porch Area | Yes | A porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle. |
Weight (kg) | 23.60 | This is the weight of the tent in kg. |
Wing Area | No | An additional wing area can be very useful as it can be used as an extra bedroom area, storage of toys and camping equipment or as a place to put a comfy inflatable sofa, so you can sit back and read your favourite book. Alternatively, it is an ideal spot for the family dog to sleep. |
