The Outwell Parkdale 6PA - six-person air tent - is the only tent your family will ever need. This fabulous, feature-packed shelter offers more space than its smaller siblings, plus multiple separate areas to make your camping experience a delight.
With the Outwell Parkdale 6PA, setup is easy. It uses Outwell's rigid air system where inflatable girders support the rest of the canvas. You don't have to thread any poles through channels - just inflate the tent and watch it pop into place. Then, once the main structure is up, simply peg it down.
At the front of the Outwell Parkdale 6PA, you'll find a spacious porch. This area is deliberately large and designed for storing all your muddy boots and wet clothes. It is also substantial enough to place two regular camping chairs side by side for sitting and enjoying the views. Outwell makes this tent deliberately tall too, to provide ample headroom. Most users won't need to stoop at all.
Behind the porch is the main living space of the tent. It features large tinted windows to keep out the worst of the sun while still allowing plenty of light to creep in. It also offers privacy from other people on the campsite. The light-coloured flysheet on the top helps to create a warm and gentle ambience inside.
The bedroom area of the tent features mesh ventilation and dark panelling to help keep early-morning sunlight to a minimum. There are additional mesh pockets for storing phones, keys, torches and wallets out of the way. And it features Outwell's Quick and Quiet magnetic zippers, which avoid annoying zipping sounds during the night.
Sleeping six in three Premier Bedrooms with Panorama outlook, the Parkdale 6PA has three zones for flexible tent life with Quick & Quiet Access between the outer and inner zones. Pre-shaped air tubes maximise internal space and the many windows allow plenty of light inside. The Rear Ventilation System allows options from open fully to neatly sealed by a zip.
In short, this tent features everything large families need for relaxed and convenient camping trips.
Hanging Storage | Yes | A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system. |
Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4000 | The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example. |
Material | Polyester | Most tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent. |
Number of Bedrooms | 3 | This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space. |
Persons | 6 | Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips. |
Pole construction | Inflatable Air Tubes | This is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium). |
Porch Area | Yes | A porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle. |
Weight (kg) | 27.30 | This is the weight of the tent in kg. |
Wing Area | No | An additional wing area can be very useful as it can be used as an extra bedroom area, storage of toys and camping equipment or as a place to put a comfy inflatable sofa, so you can sit back and read your favourite book. Alternatively, it is an ideal spot for the family dog to sleep. |
