The Outwell Pinedale 6PA six-person air tent brings both space and convenience to your family camping experience. This shelter - part of the Prime Air Family Tents range - comes with an air-inflation system that makes setup a breeze. It features smart living space compartmentalisation, allowing you to keep indoor and outdoor spaces separate.
Pitching this tent is a breeze. Thanks to its rigid air tubes, you can set it up solo, without any additional help from your family. You just connect the pump to the outlets on the tent and start pumping. Before you know it, the main structure will pop into position. Then, all you have to do is peg it down using the company's Floating Guyline and Lite Pegging system. Once up, the tent will withstand high winds, up to a force nine storm.
The safety of the tent is also exceptional. Outwell equips the Pinedale 6PA with its Easy Access System. This makes sure that the groundsheet lies flush with the ground, reducing trip hazards. The doors are broad and D-shaped, meaning that you don't have to stoop when entering the tent or step over any fabric.
On the inside, you'll find three distinct zones - a porch area, living room, and bedroom. The porch does not feature a groundsheet and is ideal for sheltering from the sun, setting up chairs and stowing muddy walking boots. The living space is large enough for all of your supplies and features large, mesh windows for sunlight and privacy. And the sleeping area provides ample room for up to six people - great for large families.
Outwell has invested heavily in the quality of this tent. The shelter features heavy-duty twin zips on the outer doors, plus multi-position toggle-up curtains.
Sleeping up to six in two Premier Bedrooms with Panorama outlook, the Pinedale 6PA has a side door and features a versatile Wing Lounge for relaxing or storage. Its wide windscreen area with windows, over its steep front wall, extends shelter and storage. With its many windows and ventilation options, it delivers airy, light-filled interior space for flexible family tent life.
Hanging Storage | Yes | A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system. |
Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4000 | The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example. |
Material | Polyester | Most tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent. |
Number of Bedrooms | 2 | This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space. |
Persons | 6 | Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips. |
Pole construction | Inflatable Air Tubes | This is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium). |
Porch Area | Yes | A porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle. |
Weight (kg) | 32.70 | This is the weight of the tent in kg. |
Wing Area | Yes | An additional wing area can be very useful as it can be used as an extra bedroom area, storage of toys and camping equipment or as a place to put a comfy inflatable sofa, so you can sit back and read your favourite book. Alternatively, it is an ideal spot for the family dog to sleep. |
