Protective Covers
This problem can have two causes. Firstly the igniter itself could be faulty. Secondly the switch in the gas valve, that is 'made' when the knob is depressed, may have gone 'short circuit'. There is a thin brown and black wire that leads from the switch to the igniter. If you unplug this from the igniter and the clicking continues then it is a problem with the igniter. If the clicking stops then the switch is the problem. (not easy to replace).
