I am looking for a replacement inline water filter for my 1994 Abbey Oxford. The existing canister looks a few years old and is labeled as a Whale WF1250. This appears to be no longer available. It has 10mm spouts at either end and I see current filters seem to be 6, 12 or 15mm ends. I am not sure what to do.

The WF1250 is no longer available and has been superceded by the Whale Aquasource filter, our ref. 131491 which should fit your pipework

We have an avondale welbeck 2 berth limited edition caravan, circa 1996,It is fitted with a carver compact water system and we cannot find where the filter is .It is not in the compartment that contains the inlet system. Can you help?

I do not believe that there was any filter fitted to these caravans. Suggest you fit a filter to the cold water feed to the kitchen sink as this is normally the only water that you will drink. Whale filter 131491 will be suitable.

I have 2002 compass envoy 200 motorhome i am a bit confused about the filters for freshwater tanks ,some people tell me that i have change the filters or just treat the water before i use the van

If the van has not been used for several months then the tank and water system should be cleaned with Puriclean or similar product. it is normal only to drink the water from the kitchen tap and it is recommended that you fit a water filter to the cold water supply to the kitchen tap. A filter such as the Whale in line unit ref. 131491 would be suitable.

I own a Lunar Clubman ES Caravan 2009 model and this is fitted with a Truma water system. There is no water filter fitted currently and I am seriously considering fitting a Truma Ultraflow conversion kit. Can you let me know just what is involved, and can you supply the kit etc. Many thanks, Gary Hepworth.

This is not a difficult conversion but it does involve cutting a larger hole in the side of your caravan.
Remove your existing water inlet, cut a hole to suit the conversion kit, (template supplied), and fit the filter housing using the self tapping screws provided and sealing with a non-setting mastic such as Carafax IDL. Do not use silicone.
As it is only necessary to filter the water going to the cold feed of the kitchen sink, your alternative is to fit an in-line filter to the blue pipe under your sink. The Whale filter is suitable in this instance and if you have 12mm semi rigid piping then you will need 2 off part 129921.

Replacement for unit that could not cope with -17Deg.Says on the unit dont let it freeze( my fault)make sure you lag it or drain down if we have another winter like tis one.
