It's a door catch for the fridge door. It's annoying that such a small but essential item is so flimsy. This is probably the 3rd door catch I've bought, pity it's not more robust. However the item from leisure shop direct is good.

Does what it is supposed to do! Easy to fit, comes with all the bits you need (in my case more than needed!) Including the screws which are not shown in photograph.. Broke my original leaping out of high rise bed - ok staggering!! And there is nothing worse than fridge door slamming open, throwing all your carefully stacked provisions!!! Recommended...😁

This is the 3rd fridge door catch in 11 years. It's a grudge purchase, because the previous ones broke. The rest of the fridge is just fine - pity they cut corners with flimsy door catches. For the last year I have been running with a jury rig, based on shock cord. I would still be using that but I plan to sell the van and it doesn't look so good.

I was dubious about the Dometic Fridge Door Catch because of the very keen price, but it was the correct replacement for my broken parts. The complete kit. Delivery was promised in a few days, I received an update, then the item arrived on the promised day. Could not do better, I have saved the address and will definitely deal with Leisureshop Direct again. Thanks.

The travel catch on the Dometic RMT 7655L fridge door fitted to my Hymer Motorhome failed after 7 years and I suppose it's only a matter of time before the freezer door travel catch also fails. I should add that it is only the plastic parts that have failed, probably due to age embrittlement. The travel catch is not a very robust design and I was contemplating manufacturing a more simple all metal catch. However a quick internet search revealed the Leisureshop Direct Website where the exploded diagram made it easy to identify the necessary replacement parts at a reasonable price. If I get another 7 years life out of the replacement I will not be too upset and it saves the time required to design and manufacture an alternative. Excellent quick service from Leisureshop Direct, The grey colour is not the same as the silver original, but I can live with that.

The product itself is not very robust and leaves itself to be broken unknowingly, the fridge door can be closed during normal use if the travel lock is in the lock position, this pushes the steel catch against the pin on the closing side and pushes the steel catch too far over stopping the door to close properly.
