Raising hinges for the Remis Vario II rooflight 900 x 600 mm nominal size. Includes transmission cover, worm gear shafts, protective sleeve Ø8mm 403mm, protective sleeve Ø8mm 378mm, protective sleeve Ø8mm 362mm, protective sleeve Ø8mm 294mm, protection tube holder, double clip, hood pin and screws.

Found the right REMIS details online, the ordered lifting repair kit came promptly. All necessary parts included except for 4 scews but worked around it. The support sheets are a bit obscure but with patience it was possible to understand how it all worked and hence was able to repair my REMIS top Vario II. Cheers to next trip!

Leisureshop delivered quickly as always. The repair kit fixes the regular problems with these remis products. The instructions cover various models of roof which make it harder to follow. Plus the photos are a poor photocopy. If you take your time and are methodical its fine. Allow 3 hours though.

I have very little experience of repairing/replacing such a mechanism so it made me somewhat apprehensive. Product arrived on the forecast date with good and timely alerts regarding progress through the supply chain. The entire assembly was easy to fit and turned out to be a straight forward replacement of the broken unit. It would help if the accompanying instructions were printed in COLOUR instead of mono. Most of the pictures were blotchy and hard to define when trying to follow the meaning of the written word etc. I went to the REMIS web site and downloaded a colour copy which proved to be successful and certainly made the installation task so much more simple.

As pre-warned on the website this item did take over three months from order to delivery. When eventually received the item was excellent with the exception of the instructions supplied. They were a poor quality black and white photocopy and the many photographs were so dark as to be unusable. Luckily after a lot of searching I found the original pdf file tucked away in the depths of LeisureShopDirect's web site and was able to download and print a colour copy on my laser printer which showed the photos clearly. Without this facility I doubt whether I could have successfully fitted the item myself. I would suggest that LeisureShopDirect would be providing a better customer service if a link to this download file was provided on the website product page. In other aspects I am more that satisfied with the item which included everything needed including the winding gear wheels.

This winding mechanism has been redesigned to overcome an original flaw and is easy to fit for the average DIY person. Leisureshop Direct were very helpful in identifying the necessary part number etc. and posted out the item very quickly.
