5 FAQs on the Truma Ultrastore Water Heater Element 450watt Series 2 & 3

My Truma water heater is heating to almost boiling is there a thermostat I can replace. also can you give me a price for a full set of easy alloy poles for my Bradcot standard Portico awning.
The thermostat is contained in the heating element and you will need to replace the element if the thermostat is faulty. Our ref. 219026.
Regret we do not do poles for the Bradcot awnings.
The Truma UltraStore rapid on our (new to us)2004 Lunar Zenith trips out the circuit breaker immediately that we switch it on at the mains. I've checked that the unit is full with water and all the other obvious culprits. Could a faulty thermostat or heating element be the problem? How would I check if these are faulty?
It is most likely that you have a faulty heating element. For your age of caravan this should be our ref. 119026.
Hi.... We have an Ultrastore with the part number US103-14153272 on it but it's also marked with 230V 850W. We ordered from you a replacement 850W element but now that we've actually looked at the unit, it would appear to have a 450W element fitted. The 850W element has an external thermostat and we see nowhere this could be fitted to the case. Do we need a 450W element for this unit or are we missing something on how to fit the 850W element?
The 850 watt elements were fitted after 2004. As your caravan is 2003 then it should have a 450 watt element. You can return the 850w element for credit but you will need to place a new order for the 450 watt element.
Hi tom i have a benimar 6000st year 2000 which has a truma BN10 water heater , i need a new heating element for it which is 450W can i fit a 850W and do you have part numbers and cost please . Also water pump keeps running it is a FIAMMA SF126 superflow pro , is it adjustable or repairable . many thanks for your help
Sorry, the 450w element cannot be replaced by the 850 watt element. The 450 watt element is our part 119026 at a price of £64.64.
If your pump is running continuously then you will need to adjust the pressure switch. This is achieved by turning a small screw in the end housing. By turning the screw slowly anticlockwise you should be able to stop the pump. if the pump continues to run then you may need to replace the pressure switch.
the heating element in my Truma boiler[elec supply] is not working and I suspect it has given up, I have checked the power supply and fuses [ok] how difficult is it to change and do I need any special tools for a Baily Ranger 360/2 year 2000. many thanks
Changing the element is not difficult if access is easy and is achieved by undoing two nuts. You will need a small socket set with a M7 socket. The element comes with two nuts and it is very easy to drop these nuts behind the casing whilst trying to fit to the studs. A piece of blue-tac in the socket will help.
The cable supplied with the element has no terminal block and is simply bared wires. You may need to install junction box (20 amp) to connect the new element to the existing supply cable.

Again the diagrams provided helped me to source the correct element for our van.

It is now fitted and hopefully we will have hot water on tap this year - instead of having to boil the kettle like we used to in our old trailer tent!
