It’s not bad. Used this for a festival where the temperature was unbearable. We chilled the box in advance as other users had suggested and put frozen 2 litre bottles of water in as well as a bag of ice. After 3 days the bag of ice had melted and the bottles almost melted. The water in the bottom of the box was very cold though so items remained cool. Food and drinks remained cold for the length of time needed so I’m fairly impressed.

A great cool box when used correctly. Pre chill the box a couple of days prior to use with as much ice as you can fit into it. I use 2l drinks bottles and icecream cartons. When packing for my trip i freeze any liquids that are not needed straight away ( I freeze 1 milk, but not the other). While on my trip i quickly grab any needed items from inside and close asap to retain the coolness. My last camping trip was the hottest with daytime temps ranging from 22 -36 and it coped well. I didn't refill with ice until the morn of day 4, but every 2nd day after that.

Awesome Cooler For Camping

I did much research on this last year - i needed to find THE best cooler for taking camping with my 2 girls last year. I can tell you that i followed the myriad of advice available and cooled the box down by rotating frozen 2l bottles of water beteeen my freezer and the cool box for a couple of days before i needed it - i froze everything i could that went in it, and then once it was packed i opened it as little as possible (i even froze the milk).
We set up tent on the saturday and i can promise you that the milk was still partially frozen on the Tuesday! Even the following thursday there were big chunks of ice in the 2litre bottle of water that we had not yet used! I was still able to throw a couple of cans of diet coke in the cooler in the morning and they were ice cold by lunch time a?ll week(not frozen obviously, just ice cold). I had young children (2&5yo) with me & ham, yoghurts, cheese , butter were kept cold (even accidently frozen in the cooler for first couple of days!) all week. £80 seems like a lot - but it definately was worth the money! Along with the Kampakhazi (also a great item:)) i am now a camping convert - cant wait to take the girls again in 2weeks :)
Excellent Cooler

I was looking for a small extreme (5 day) wheeled cooler. Since Coleman stopped importing their extreme 6 day (50 and 82) coolers, they only have a side wheeled 50 litre 5 day cooler which takes up the same room as Igloo's 60 litre cooler (as the Coleman inexplicably has thicker walls).
Good performance and small size make the Igloo very versatile. Fits on rear car seat with front seats leaning right back. I wish there were smaller extreme coolers available, especially a 30 litre or smaller with a single carrying handle. However, at the moment, this appears to be the smallest. Igloo additionally do a 60 litre wheeled cooler and this is also good, but much wider and longer. I now have two of these as they are so good and compact.
Carries Romance And Freedom As Well As Picnic Drinks

Prepare your picnic thoughtfully, and the location becomes moot. It begins with the time you park your car, meeting hers, for a long lunch rendezvous. The Igloo Roller Cooler facilitates all of this well.
Between the car and the picnic setting remains a distance short, and replete with romance. By rolling the Igloo Roller Cooler, you will have one hand free for holding hers.
Bundle your cooler with all the needs of food and love. Pack within it a bag of ice, of course, and white wine wrapped in a wet, cold cloth. Add candlesticks and cheese, if you please. Be sure to bring glasses for two, not three. Fold in a tablecloth to fit over the cooler, and napkins just for show. There is more than room enough for a picnic for two.
Close it well, holding the handle with your left hand, while she walks on your right. The rest is up to you.
