The Outwell Hartford 6 Person Air Tent is designed with a vis-à-vis style, offering an ideal camping experience for groups of friends or families with older children. Designed for those who value privacy whilst camping, the layout of this tent features bedrooms positioned at both ends, with darkened inner bedrooms. A great feature of this tent is the patented magnetic, Quick & Quiet, inner doors, which allow for noiseless, hands-free entry and exit. The central living area is generously spacious, offering substantial headroom, making it the perfect communal area for group camping trips. If required, the two-person inner bedroom can be tidied away in favour of even more socialising space. Lastly, with entrances on both sides of the tent, each reinforced with mesh for ventilation purposes, the convenience and accessibility of this tent is great.

Pre-shaped air tubes in the Outwell Hartford 6 Person Air Vis-à-Vis Tent ensure abundant headroom and interior space. The groundsheet is not only durable and waterproof, but it's also seamlessly sewn into the tent's design, granting a drier and more comfortable camping experience. Crafted from PVC-free DuraAir tubes, this tent proves to be both safe and sturdy. The bedrooms, also known as Dark Premier Bedrooms, are equipped with mesh ventilation to encourage a peaceful night’s sleep, whilst the reliable and easy-to-operate inflate and deflate valves are strategically located outside the flysheet, making them easy to access.

Another impressive feature of the Outwell Hartford 6 Person Air Vis-à-Vis Tent is the light yet warm-toned flysheet roof that creates a bright and uplifting internal area. Small commodities can be stored safely and conveniently in the mesh pockets located in the inner tents. The front door is adorned with double zips and backed by a full mesh panel, facilitating multiple ventilation options whilst keeping the irritating bugs at bay. The Rain Safe side door allows for flexible access and provides crucial protection from outdoor elements, making it ideal for unpredictable UK weather.

The Outwell Hartford 6 Person Air Vis-à-Vis Tent is a sizeable four-room tunnel tent that comfortably accommodates six people with three bedrooms and one central living room. The pitching method is versatile, with options to pitch the flysheet first or as one unit. The flysheet is made from Outtex® 4000 Select polyester material, ensuring a durable cover, while the floor inner is constructed from PU coated Taffeta polyester for added insulation. A double-coated waterproof polyethylene groundsheet ensures the highest durability and waterproofing, providing comfort and security. The poles are made from Duratec fibreglass 8.5 mm, and the tent features Rigid Air System tubes for fast and hassle-free inflation. The tent can handle a maximum pressure of 9 psi/0.6 bar, a hydrostatic head of 4000 mm, and packs an impressive low weight of 29 kg, making it an ideal outdoor shelter for large groups or families. With a very manageable pack size of 95 x 45 x 40 cm, it stands as a top-tier choice in the camping, caravan and motorhome industry.

      Features at a Glance
Hanging StorageYes A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system.
Hydrostatic Head (mm)4000The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example.
MaterialPolyesterMost tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent.
Number of Bedrooms3This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space.
Persons6Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips.
Pole constructionInflatable Air TubesThis is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium).
Porch AreaYesA porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle.
Weight (kg)29This is the weight of the tent in kg.
