However, it would be a shame to see this investment go to waste because of a road accident caused by faulty tyres.
As such, caravan manufacturer Swift Group has revealed that it is championing a campaign to encourage caravanners to take more care of their treads.
The firm is fitting its new models with Hankook branded tyres that can take a ten per cent extra load factor and improve braking performance.
"The safety of our owners is always paramount and with more people touring on the continent, where cruising speeds are higher, we felt that fitting the best tyres with proven high levels of performance and safety was an area in which we should lead the industry," explained Swift Group commercial director Nick Page.
He added his hope that other companies would follow the firm's lead and take steps to protect their customers.
Meanwhile, Swift Group last month confirmed that it is to support 2010 BTRDA 1400 Series title hopefuls Matt Edwards and Sam Collis for the rest of the season.
