Which Coolbox do I need?

Choosing which coolbox you need can be very confusing. It really depends on what capacity you are looking for, the technology (some run silently) and where you are going to use it. For example, each coolbox has a “below ambient temperature” specification. If you are going to travel to Europe the outside ambient temperature is likely going to be far higher than if you were to stay in the UK. Thus, you would need a coolbox that will cool down to a lower below ambient temperature.
Below we summarise the different types of coolboxes available.

1. Thermoelectric Coolboxes - Affordable Cooling



- You can use 12/24V from your car, van or leisure battery or mains hook-up at the campsite
- Thermoelectric coolers are ideal for short trips in the car to the shops or beach etc
- Outdoor temperature range from 12°C up to 22°C
- No fumes - You can keep the coolbox in your tent or locked up in your car

2. Absorption Coolboxes - The Silent Option



The 3-way system runs on either gas for wild camping or no hook-up, 12 v for when you are travelling and 230v mains. Absorption coolboxes are also available for those with either limited space or extra storage space like an awning.
