Unless you have an onboard water tank in the caravan, you will need a way of transporting and storing water for cooking, drinking and washing. From our extensive list of the favourite and most convenient way of carrying this out is by using an Aqua Roll. They're cylindrical containers with an opening at the top and side and can be used upright or on their sides. The Aqua Roll has a two piece handle that clips on to the side of the roll and enables you (or the kids!) to drag it on its runners when it is full of water. The Aqua Roll comes with a short amount of hose which has a rubber push on connector for use at the site’s stand pipe. The caravan’s water pump can be lowered through the top opening and the Aqua Roll filled through the side cap when at the servicing point. At leisureshopdirect you can get Aquaroll accessories such as an
aquaroll stand,
aquaroll cover for the 40 litre roll and spare handle.
When you get a brand new
Aqua Roll look at www.leisureshopdirect.com. They come in 2 sizes – the 29 litre and the 40 litre . All new Aquarolls need sterilising. To do this place the correct quantity of a sterilising solution for example
Puriclean in the container and let it stand for the recommended time. Once the diluted solution has been in the Aqua Roll for the correct length of time, run the caravan taps to flush the sterilising solution throughout the pipe work of the caravan. Flush the system through with clean water, then hopefully you won’t get strange tasting coffee the next time you use the Aqua Roll!
All the water that comes out of the Aqua Roll needs to go somewhere! Some sites have superior pitches that enable “grey” waste to go straight into a drain, otherwise you will require a receptacle for this waste water. The most popular way to do this is having a Waste Master. The Waste Master is a wheeled container that is thin enough to slip underneath the caravan when in use. It has two outlets, one for greater volume then one inlet. Using a “Y” piece, both the outlets from your caravan can be combined into one pipe and inserted into the Waste Master inlet. To empty the Waste Master, just wheel it to the service point, unscrew the opening cap and secure it in the push fit holder, tip the Waste Master and empty.
TIP: Use the
Waste Master to carry your toilet cassette to your Chemical Emptying Point utilising the bungees supplied. Not really a nice thought, but the full toilet cassette could be very heavy and unwieldy.
